The AIT Essential Skills Teacher Training Course (TESOL Certification) is the first step toward your ESL teaching future and higher education. The Essential Skills Teacher Training course is AIT's most sought after program and certification. AIT's thousands of graduates across Vietnam, Asia and the globe are a testament to the unique practically based international ESL methodology, exceptional international trainers and the AIT TESOL Teacher training certification program.

AIT's team of educators have designed an extensive series of educational components for the Essential Teaching Skills Course centred on academia, practical application and preparation for higher education.
Course hours are in accordance with International TESOL course requirements.
Within the Essential Skills Teacher Training course the fundamental ESL skills are then practically applied through lesson planning; lesson analysis; student demographics; lesson design; teacher preparation; practical subject application and theories; philosophy of teaching, teaching styles and theory based research.
The comprehensive Essential Skills Teacher Training course not only covers the theoretical teaching aspects and delivery but also the physical, practical, dynamic implementation through activity-based methodology in the following core topics:
Included in the AIT Essential Skills Teacher Training Course are two (2) (out of 19) AIT Key Skills of your choice. The two AIT Key Skills are researched intensively and completed in the students' free time. After completing the TESOL course, plus your 2 Key Skills you will then be eligible to start the AIT Professional TESOL Diploma program for professional industry-specific knowledge.
On successful completion of both, the AIT TESOL Essential Skills 36-hour course and the 120-hour AIT Key Skills, an AIT TESOL International English Licence will be issued from Australia.
